Denise Perrier is one of the foremost jazz vocalists in the
San Francisco Bay Area.
Born in New Orleans, she moved with her family to the Bay Area as a child.
As a young woman, Denise was part of a vocal quartet which Louis Armstrong
liked so much; he added it to his tour.
With a career spanning thirty years, Denise is comfortable with jazz, cabaret and
blues genres, shaping her rich contralto to the music at hand. Whether she’s singing with a big band or a trio, Denise connects with her audiences. That’s why she’s known as “The Voice with a Heart.”

Song stylist, Denise Perrier, has built an international reputation having performed in Japan, New Zealand, Italy, France, Russia, Mexico, and of course, throughout the United States, in Chicago, San Francisco, New York, New Orleans.

Many audience members remark that they feel as if they were sitting in her personal parlor. She can spark an audience in a flash to the greatest heights and return them to earth with a sultry warm note and a smile. A consummate professional in manner and style, Denise always give her very best in all situations!

Denise is featured on Jack McDuff’s Grammy nominated CD, “Color ME Blue, Jack McDuff and Friends” and co-produced her first CD with Houston Person titled “I Wanna Be Loved”. She solo produced “East Meets West” utilizing musicians from Russia and the United States, then released “Blue Monday, Live At Yoshi’s.” Recently released, and very well received, her last CD “The Second Time Around” Live!  is widely air played.
