Luis Muñoz
Costa Rican composer/multi instrumentalist.

In 2006, Mr. Muñoz won an award in Latin America for “Jazz Composer/Producer of the Year”, with his “Vida” recording. In August 2007 “Of Soul and Shadow” was released and received excellent reviews.

His music has been called “A Masterpiece” (Mark Holston, Hispanic magazine), given four stars by publications like Down Beat Magazine, EJazz News and Drum Magazine, and has made it into several “Best 10 Jazz Recordings of the Year” lists, among them, Jazzreview.com, Latin Jazz Network, Quimper Sound and JazHouse.org.  Mr. Muñoz has been wowing audiences worldwide for years:  from the greatest Jazz Festivals in the East Coast (Litchfield, CT), West Coast (San José, CA), to international festivals like the FIA in San Jose, Costa Rica, to the greatest jazz venues like the Jazz Bakery in Los Angeles, CA.
